Happy New Year!

Our new year starts with an exciting new topic 'Going Places' and we are looking forward to exploring this together. Our initial weeks at school will be 'home learning'.

Children in our class have an opportunity to take part in our onsite Forest school.

Forest school can help children to develop:

  • self-awareness.
  • motivation.
  • empathy.
  • social skills.
  • communication skills.
  • independence.
  • self-esteem and confidence.
  • physical skills including the development of both gross and fine motor skills.
We recently had an opportunity to take part in some African drumming! We made lots of noise and it was a great team building activity.

Meet our School Dog Martha!

Why have a school dog ?

Martha provides our children with, a greater enjoyment of being in the school environment, improved attendance and a greater willingness to learn and participate. Improved behaviour, social interaction and sense of responsibility in the classroom. We really enjoy walking her.
