Religious Education
We are a Church of England school and this is a big part of our curriculum.
A St James' child values the fruits of the spirit in everything they do.
How do you show the fruits of the spirit?
Chinese New Year 2022 - The Year of the Tiger
We had a fantastic time celebrating Chinese New Year...
Everybody really enjoyed wearing red for good luck and trying Chinese cuisine!
We learnt about the story of Chinese New Year and the ways people celebrate. Everyone took part in a range of activities including; making tiger masks, Korean writing, dancing to Chinese music and role-playing a Chinese takeaway!
Christingles
Today we all made a Christingle.
We learnt that the orange symbolises the world, the red ribbon shows Gods love, the sweets show the four seasons and the candle demonstrates that Jesus is the light of the world.
We had fun singing our Christmas song and lighting our Christingles.
