Verde

Matisse Pictures from Seesaw

The children created a picture in the style of Henri Matisse. They used simple line, form and colour in their self portraits. They look amazing!

Uniform Day at St James'

Well done to all of the children from Verde Class who took part in the St James' uniform day.

You look fabulous!

Author Visit - Genevieve Yusuf

Today an author, Genevieve Yusuf, visited our school to read her stories to us. She read Vivi the Spanish SuperDog which was about a dog from a rescue centre in Spain. In the story, he saves a cat from a tree falling down. Most of the story was written in English but some of the words were written in Spanish. We had fun trying to guess what the Spanish words meant in English.

Verde Visit to Colchester Castle

Verde Class visited Colchester Castle to learn about Queen Boudicca and how she destroyed the Roman temple.

The children had lots of fun, learned lots of information but were very tired after a long day.

Mr Herron, Mr Innocent and Mrs Aznar are very proud of them - well done Verde Class.

"I really enjoyed building the roundhouse." Bonnie

"I liked building the house because I had to give the instructions and tell people what to do." Tillie-Ann

             Tree Planting in Verde

The children had a fantastic morning and learned how to plant a tree, daffodil bulbs and crocus bulbs.

We discussed the importance of trees and made links to our R.E. topic of the Creation Story and looking after God's world.

Well done Verde class!
